SmartNet is dedicated to supporting technology initiatives that empower at-risk youth and families in the US Virgin Islands (USVI). This page outlines our online donation process, eligibility criteria, and selection process. 

Eligibility

Non-profit Status

Your organization must be a U.S.  Virgin Island registered 501(c)(3) non-profit or demonstrate a clear charitable purposed.

Project Focus: 

Projects must be technology-based and directly benefit USVI youth and families.

Project Goals:

We prioritize initiatives that:

  • Advance education through technology. 
  • Foster innovation for at-risk populations.
  • Contribute to community development through technology access.

Project Planning and Proposal Require:


  • Clear scope of work.
  • Realistic budget with project expenses.
  • Realistic budget with project expenses.
  • Measurable outcomes to demonstrate impact

Scalability and Sustainability:

We favor projects with the potential for growth and lasting positive impact.

Online Application:

Submit your proposal electronically through our website's CORPORATE GIVING page during open application periods:

Spring Consideration: Online Application opens: February 1st (5:00 PM EST) to March 31st. 

Fall Consideration:  Online Application opens: September 1st (5:00 PM EST) to October 31st. 

Request Outside of Open Period:

The SMARTNET selection committee conducts review periods for submissions twice per year. The deadlines for submission are April 30th (Spring) and October 31st (Fall). Requests received outside of these designated review periods will be reviewed by the selection committee on a case-by-case basis, as the committee deems appropriate.
